Diversity Q & A
Is it possible to be Australian and something else?
Donna
I am an Australian, Jewish woman who also sees herself as a member of the human race. And each of those identities gives me a different way to think and be. As an Australian, I love my country and care about the treatment of Aborigines and our use of natural resources. As a Jewish woman I think about family, and the festivals, and caring for those less fortunate as I am taught to do in Judaism. As a member of the human race, I care about the treatment of our planet, and for all those fellow humans who are suffering around the world. I think it is very possible to be more than one identity, and it is an interesting way to see the world.
