One of the things I value the most is kindness to others. I just think it's very important and we see less and less of it in today's world. One story when I was very young, well not very young, but in my younger years I travelled around a lot. I was a chef and to get from town to town I used to hitchhike because I didn't have my own car. One day I got picked up by this old lady, and we were having a lovely chat and she told me where she had to go, it was about 40k's and we were going up the road and we came to the town where she was supposedly going to drop me off and she kept driving right through the town. I said to her, I forget her name, and I said to her, you know, 'isn't this where you’re supposed to be stopping?'. She said 'oh no, I'm having such a lovely day, I'll just keep on driving until I get tired'. We we kept chatting and chatting and we had a wonderful time and she ended up driving me at least 100 kilometres out of her way. She then dropped me off and we bid our farewell to each other and she turned around and drove home. That was just one of the most wonderful experiences I've had in my life, of just a perfect stranger showing me kindness and I always remember those sort of things to show kindness to other people. Especially the ones that mightn't be cool or they mightn't be dressing the way that we have or that they mightn't have enough money or so forth, they might be really different. I think that it's important to show those people and everyone kindness.
