How is religion relevant in the world today?

I think the role of religion has changed a lot. I think perhaps over the last little while, we've gone from a structured sort of process where we're all doing church together or whatever it may be to more of an 'I'm an individual and I'm going to choose my own thing'. And I don't necessarily think organised religion has all the answers. But I still think the questions are important. Why am I here? Do I have a soul? What happens to me after I pass away? It could be that organised religion had these answers and we've chosen to move onto a new thing or maybe they were wrong all along. But those questions still remain. I think a deep need for spirituality exists. But, the role in which religion plays in that is just changing.
