As an atheist I have beliefs. I believe in love and kindness and fairness in particular. And I don’t think these beliefs are just specific to atheists, I think these beliefs can be held by anyone. But I guess importantly for an atheist, all of these beliefs are up for review. So if I find out something in the world that I didn't know beforehand and it makes me change my mind, that's ok. I don't have to hold on to those beliefs I did have. For an example, I used to think that kindness and fairness were things that only applied between human beings and that you could only apply these things when you were having/or were in relationships with another human being. But now I think that they're just as important when you're talking about animals. So I guess the belief has changed over time, and that's to do with the things I've experienced. That's why I've changed my beliefs, and I think that's important for an atheist.
