Food is a huge part of our religion; we have special foods like delicious donuts for our Hanukkah festival. Before we eat, we need to look after any animals that are dependent on us for food. And there are certain foods we're not allowed to eat like ham and bacon, or mixing milk and meat. And there are lots of food we are allowed to eat; fruits and vegetables, chicken, lamb, and beef. When those animals are prepared for eating, it needs to be done in a way that is a minimum amount of pain, so a very sharp knife is used. After we eat, we thank God for our food and one more important rule for food is – it's rude to stare at people when they eat their food.
