Hi, my name is Lexoudious Dadd, I'm an Aboriginal man. I live in Sydney and in parts of Sydney; I come from the Darug tribe. I spend a lot of time in the bush, researching and practicing our culture. I make a lot of jewellery out of bush craft; I use our glues and resins that I find naturally in the bush. And, I teach a lot of our young people continuation of our culture. I go out to schools and do this as well and I also do traditional wood carving which makes our spears, our coolamans, clap sticks all traditional tools that we used, we have used on this country for thousands of years. And what I'm really passionate about is practicing the lifestyle that our ancestors practiced. Because they were here for a very long time and they didn't ruin our country. In 223 years we can’t eat or drink out of our rivers now, but for thousands of years we did. So I like to practice not littering our country and looking after it. And because our country is littered and not looked after by many people, I find it part of my responsibility to go out there and to pick up rubbish, look after our country and treat it as we've always treated it for thousands of years - as our Mother.
